The experiment is bigger.

Clothing as a Cultural Medium

At TATITA, we don't just create T-shirts. We use clothing as a way to carry ideas.

Wear ideas that matter.

Each design combines AI-assisted creation with human authorship, curation, and creative direction. We explore thoughtful messages, better materials, made-to-order production, and lower-impact approaches — treating clothing not simply as a product, but as a cultural and expressive medium.

A T-shirt can carry an idea, start a conversation, and connect people who may never otherwise have encountered one another.

How the Experiment Works

TATITA operates through a five-part iterative cycle:

1. Create — We combine AI-assisted ideation and creation with human authorship, judgement, and creative direction.

2. Connect — Digital media and online discovery allow ideas to travel beyond geographical boundaries and reach people across the internet.

3. Exchange — Ecommerce turns discovery into economic participation: does someone who encounters an idea value it enough to voluntarily purchase it?

4. Circular — Made-to-order production and recovered textile materials explore alternatives to traditional inventory-led production and the risk of overproduction.

5. Learn — We observe signals, measure engagement and behaviour, gather feedback, test assumptions, and recalibrate.

Create. Connect. Exchange. Circular. Learn. Then repeat.

TATITA is not a fixed model. It is a feedback loop.

Media: Shooting with AI

The experiment doesn't stop with clothing.

If AI and accessible digital infrastructure can help one person create a product, can they also enable that person to create the media needed to communicate it to the world?

TATITA applies the same AI-assisted approach to visual and audiovisual production, experimenting with image and video generation, voice, editing, storytelling, and digital distribution.

AI-assisted visual experiment — exploring clothing, cultural identity and place through generative media.

Using accessible AI tools, the project explores what a single creator can produce without a traditional production crew or budget.

AI is used not only in the creation of the product, but also in the creation of the media through which the experiment is documented, communicated, and discovered.

Every image and video becomes a combination of algorithmic generation and human judgement: selecting, directing, editing, combining, rejecting, and giving meaning.

In this sense, media is not simply marketing for the experiment.

Media is part of the experiment.

Rethinking Capital, Inventory, and Access

Traditionally, creating and distributing a clothing collection could require upfront capital, inventory, production relationships, marketing resources, and access to established distribution channels.

TATITA deliberately begins without those advantages.

Zero upfront capital.
No traditional inventory.
No established audience.

Instead, TATITA tests what becomes possible when accessible digital infrastructure begins to reduce dependence on some of these traditional requirements.

Through AI-assisted workflows, ecommerce, digital media, online distribution, and made-to-order production, the experiment asks whether an individual can create something that is discovered, valued, and voluntarily purchased by someone they have never met — potentially on the other side of the world.

In this context, a purchase is more than a transaction.

It is a signal that an idea travelled, connected, and created value.

Circularity

If digital infrastructure allows us to rethink how something is created, communicated, and distributed, can we also rethink how it is produced?

TATITA explores made-to-order production alongside REMILL® products made using recovered textile material.

Wear. Return. Renew. — exploring circularity through materials, production and product lifecycle.

Made-to-order production means garments are produced in response to demand rather than held as traditional inventory, helping to reduce the risk of overproduction. Recovered textile materials introduce another layer to the experiment: exploring how existing material can become part of new products rather than simply becoming waste.

The aim is not to claim a perfect or impact-free system.

It is to explore whether better systems can be built — and to learn from what works, what doesn't, and what can improve.

Why It Matters

TATITA is ultimately about more than clothing.

The experiment explores three interconnected dimensions: social, economic, and circular.

Socially, it asks how ideas and digital media can create connections between people across geographical boundaries.

Economically, it explores whether accessible digital infrastructure can lower some of the barriers traditionally created by capital, inventory, industry access, and the need for an established audience.

Circularly, it explores how made-to-order production, recovered materials, and alternative production models might contribute to more thoughtful ways of making and consuming.

At its broadest, TATITA asks what becomes possible when anyone with an idea can access tools for creation, media, distribution, and production without traditional access to capital, industry infrastructure, or an established audience.

It also asks what systems like this could mean for future generations growing up with increasingly accessible AI and digital infrastructure — not only what these technologies might replace, but what they might enable people to create, contribute, and become.

The experiment begins with one person. The question is what these tools could enable for many more.

Follow the Research Thread

TATITA is an ongoing, practice-based experiment.

AI is integrated across research, ideation, visual and audiovisual creation, communication, marketing, and decision-making, while human authorship, judgement, curation, and creative direction remain central.

Every design, image, video, interaction, click, conversation, and purchase adds another signal to the experiment.

Each signal contributes to the next iteration — informing what to test, change, question, or create next.

The process is iterative. The results are not predetermined.

Create. Connect. Exchange. Circular. Learn.

Same question. Different contexts. More connections.

Explore the current collection and follow the experiment.

Wear ideas that matter.

✨ Follow essence. ✨

Be Part of the Experiment

TATITA is an ongoing experiment.
